Aside from the Gingerbread Martini (or even as well as, if you’re feeling adventurous) the guys at Dirty Martini, Covent Garden have invented a Candy Cane Martini

Ingredients:
30ml Absolut Vanilla

Gingerbread Martini

The Gingerbread Martini was created by the genius’ at Dirty Martini cocktail bar in Covent Garden. And you thought it was just Starbucks who were all over mixing up the Gingerbread in their drinks.

Glass: Martini
Garnish: Biscuit rim
Ingredients:
30ml Buffalo Trace
10ml ginger monin syrup
5ml butterscotch schnapps
1 dash angostura bitters
1 slice fresh ginger
25ml pressed apple juic

Method: Add ingredients into a Boston glass and shake thoroughly.

Mulled White Wine Cocktail

Bored of traditional mulled wine? Try this alternative, a mulled white wine cocktail.
Ingredients:
½ lemon (about 2 inches wide)
½ orange (about 2 ½ inches wide)
4 kumquats (each about 1 inch long)
2 tablespoons honey
1/3 to ½ cup sugar
6 whole cloves
6 whole allspice
2 cinnamon sticks (each 3 inches long)
2 bottles (750 ml each) dry white wine

Method
Step one: Thinly slice the lemon and the kumquats, quarter the orange and discard any seeds and put the fruit into a pan.
Step two: Add the honey, sugar, cloves, and allspice.
Step three: Cut the cinnamon sticks lengthwise into thin strips.
Step four: Add the cinnamon and two cups of water to the pan.
Step five: Bring to the boil, then reduce heat and boil gently for five minutes.
Step six: Add the wine and heat for about eight minutes.
Step seven: Keep warm on a low heat, and ladle into heatproof cups or wine glasses.

I wish you a Merry Christmas and may all your fashionable dreams come true!
Love
Nina
