How To find the Perfect High Heel Stiletto Shoes?

High heel stiletto shoesHigh heel stiletto shoes... Searching for the One...
Hi Girls! Are you searching for the perfect One? The Perfect High heel stiletto shoes!!!! Could you have guessed that for autumn-winter  2010 and 2011-2012 wearing a classic, high heel stiletto shoe would modernize your look? Well, believe it or not, this is the shoe that can update anything from jeans to dresses.  A new pair will be a wise investment and an elegant choice for day or night. High stiletto heels give the aesthetic  illusion of longer, more slender, toned legs and improve posture at the same time. Men associate them with the image of the femme fatale, the mysterious seductive woman their mothers told them to avoid. Marylin Monroe said "I dont know who invented the high heels but women owe him a lot".

Well, high heels where first seen in ancient Greece. Around 500 BC, actors in Greek ancient drama where wearing platform shoes called "kothorni". However, it was the evolution of technology that made the stiletto heel possible, by using a supporting metal shaft or stem embedded in to the heel. Specifically, Roger Vivier, the French fashion designer specialized in shoes, is the one who is considered to have made mens ultimate fantasy, a dream come true.
I desperately needed a new pair of black leather high heel stiletto shoes and I made my quest for the perfect one a job I took very seriously!
Manolo Blahnik BB

Shoes have to be extremely high quality. So after intensive research, my four favorite runners up are from world class designers. The BB, a super soft black leather shoe by Manolo Blanhik is the first in my list. The designer was born in 1942, in Spain and his creations are the symbol of pure classical style in the 21st century. They are lovely, comfortable despite their 10 mm heel and technically perfect.
Christian Louboutin Pigalle

My second choice is Pigalle 120 mm heel, by Christian Louboutin with an extremely high heavenly heel and, of course, the trademark shiny, red-lacquered sole that gives an instant stamp of fashion excellence. The famous footwear designer was born in 1964, in France and gets his inspiration from the showgirls in Paris nightclubs. He once said. "I wanted to create something that broke rules and made women feel confident and empowered."
Jimmy Choo
Jimmy Choo
Jimmy Choo, Lewis 10 mm heel is my third runner up. It's part of Tamara's Collection Choo 24:7, a perfect, comfortable black suede shoe with rounded toe. Tamara Melon was born 1967 and is the owner and president of Jimmy Choo. She is beautiful, her mother was a Chanel model, she has a amazing cense of style and undeniably a mind for business. She began her career as a journalist for British Vogue writing about accessories and now she is one of the richest women in Britain.
Isabel Marant

My fourth and final choice is Isabel Marant's lovely, Poppy black suede pump, it's a high heel stiletto shoe with a bow on one side. This pair of shoes complimented many of her runway looks in the autumn winter 2010 fashion show. Its a wonderful reinvention of a satin pink shoe with bow which Roger Vivier designed for Dior in the 1950s. Which was displayed in an exhibition at Victoria and Albert Museum in London, in 2008, called  " The Golden Age of Couture Paris and London 1947-1957 ". Its so elegant and modern classic. I am sure, I can much it with many of my outfits, dressing it up or down as I please.

I am sure, this is the one! I know its in my heart because I cant get of it out of my mind!
Not used...
  • In the 1970's Dianna Vreeland, editor of US Vogue suggested to Manolo Blahnik  to design shoes.
  • He became the first man to appear on the cover of British Vogue., in 1974. He was photographed with Angelica Houston by David Bailey.
  • Christian Louboutin left school early.
  • In 1992 he incorporated the red sole into the design of his shoes. This happened by accident as he felt that the shoes lacked energy so he applied red nail polish to the sole of a shoe. This was such a success that it became a permanent fixture.
  • In 2007, Christian Louboutin filed an application for U.S. trademark protection of this red sole design.
  • Isabel Manant Poppy suede pumps are sold out in the online store Net-a-Porte in both their sites, USA and British but I did manage to grab one of the last pairs early Sunday morning. And yes,I admit, I already had bought the Manolos.
After all, shoes are my passion!

Tips...
  • If you buy the Manolo Blahnik BB in soft back leather you will need 1/2 size down.
  • With the Christian Louboutin Pigalle 120 mm its hard even to stand ,if you like them go for the lower heel version.
  • Jimmy Choo shoes are true to size.
  • Isabel Marant Poppy suede pumps are also your favorite choice? If yes...act fast when you find them.

  9. Indeed, it seems that high heels are the best thing since sliced bread! And I genuinely believe that people such as Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo design dreams, rather than just shoes :)
